Nancy + Harrison

This is the wedding of my dear cousin Harrison and his beautiful bride, Nancy. I was very excited to flower these two not only because they are family but because they gave me total creative freedom. My cousin Harrison and his bride had full trust in me to do whatever I thought would fit them best. I took the advantage of knowing them on such a personal level and designed something that complimented them and their relationship together.

Nancy knew she wanted to incorporate a blush color but besides that she really let me play. I found this Orchid in a greenhouse and instantly knew this would be the perfect blush addition. I took this tropical flower and played off of its striking intricate features. I used several other tropical plants and flowers and weaved them throughout some classic wildflower favorites. I loved this collaboration. Their wedding sparked my rapidly evolving obsession with tropicals. My affinity for homegrown blooms grew when I saw the harvested Smokebush and Magnolia tree next to the Orchid and Palm leaves. Thank you Harrison and Nancy for letting me have fun design something so expressive and personal to the two of you. Love you both and happy to have celebrated your marriage.

Congratulations Nancy + Harrison!
