Moody Blooms + Dark Wedding
If you need inspiration for a dark and moody wedding this ones for you. Immediately, when I got the mood board for this shoot, I jumped all over it! This was the first style shoot i’ve done and it was so amazing seeing photographers, hair and makeup teams, models, and different locations all coming together to collectively make something AWESOME. It was so much fun and a privilege to be a part of such a creative project.
for this shoot I designed three bridal bouquets varying in size and shape. I give examples of small, large, and cascading bridal bouquets all in a super dramatic dark color scheme. I also designed a really cool arbor piece and a boutonniere.
Something that I really want to point out in this shoot is use of some of the potted plants that have been growing in Sunflower Hill Farms greenhouse. The small bouquet has an Alocasia zebrina acting almost like an umbrella bouncing above the three Gerber Daisies. In the cascading bouquet I added two leaves from a Ficus elastica (Rubber fig tree) currently being propagated in the greenhouse. I also used farm grown olive branches and Spicebush twigs. I have so much fun pulling from things I’m growing or that are just in season around the property.
