SUMMER

The time of year when the garden reaches its fullest expression. The air thick with heat, cicadas, and the sweet perfume of blooms offering a huge variety of color. All color palettes are welcome from soft pastels to vivid energetic palettes. Where spring brought eager sprouts and the trumpet call of daffodils, summer answers with abundance: lush foliage, lively colors, and a steady, generous display of flowers that keep the garden humming with life.

I focus on vibrant summer blooms saturated in color, celebrating the season’s long, sunlit days with arrangements that echo backyard gardens at their peak. Summer’s warmth brings an energy of abundance and ease, so my designs lean into lush textures, layered color fields, and loose, organic shapes that invite movement and joy. Where spring is about rediscovering scent, summer is about visual intensity and richness. I’m looking for blooms that hold their color in bright light, foliage that glows, and compositions that feel generous and celebratory.
